I hadn't realized that this was a dessert wine until I opened it, but then POW!! The color and nose are just amazing and the mouthfeel the same. Love this wine and producer.

Drank this over the Good Friday lunch at my place. Kept this as the last wine to delight my guests.
Honeysuckle, nectar nose, with elegance and smoothness delivered in the taste. Tinge of creaminess in the mouth. Notes of grass and nectarine evident too. It delights like drinking honey with a great balance between sweetness and freshness..

This wine has reached its ideal drinking period. Good benchmark for a great Riesling Auslese.

My first guess, Rheingau. Excellent weight and acid on the palate. Lovely nose of bortrytis and white fruits with hint of kerosene. Surprisingly the colour is quite yellowish almost the same as the JJP WS Auslese 90 that was pop together, which lead me to think it's a 90s. Great effort for the vintage.

For an 06 Rheingau, this was unsurprisingly golden and oxidized-looking. Despite the vintage, this was really a well made Auslese with balanced acidity to prevent it from being flabby even though we had it a tad warm. Very opulent, ripe tropical fruits which belies the inherent clarity. Great persistence as expected and clearly the standard of others' BA. The winemaking definitely shines through in this tough vintage.

Robert Weil tasting of (mostly) new releases (Chicago, IL): Light yellow colour. Nose is intense but again very primary and youthful - aromas of honey, some caramel, apples, peaches and tropical fruits. Full bodied and slightly viscous in the mouth with lots of mango, pineapple, honey and apple flavours over minerals - good acidity and a finish that just keeps going and going.

From 375 ml - pale yellow color; focused herbal and grapefruit nose; tasty, elegant, sweet and tart grapefruit with fleshy lemon cream undertones; long finish 93+ pts.

very nice and creamy mouthfeel, with nice depth and balance - lacking a bit vibrance and acidity for my liking...long finish and nice dessert wine!

Palate has notes of honey, nectarine, peach, mango and apple. Sweet but with a slight acidity to keep it in check. Rich mouthfeel, long finish.
