Crimson in color. 13.9% ABV. Savory nose of red fruits, iron and forest floor. Medium body with tremendous acidity. Smooth and silky with earthy fruits. Cherry, cranberry, black tea and earth on the palate. Nice length on the finish. Really well made appellation Pinot Noir that I purchase year in and year out. Best over the next 2-3 years.

Wine Rating Methodology 96-100: One of the most enjoyable wines I have ever tasted. I would not hesitate to open this wine for any Master of Wine. 91-95: Extremely enjoyable wine that I would drink and buy again. Fantastic to open up for those who appreciate wine. 85-90: Decent to good wine. Weekday bottle you don’t feel guilty about not finishing. Below 85: would not drink or buy again. ***Price of wine vs. enjoyment (value) is taken into consideration ***I do not provide tasting notes as everyone’s palate is different and will have a different experience.

Nose of earthy fruit, spice, and cola on the nose. The palate has bright acidity, with notes of baking spice, wet leaves, and ripe blackberry. Great value WS Pinot.

Drank the 2020 Central Coast, Sonoma County and Russian River Valley together. They all exhibited the same primary red berry notes but the secondary notes were unique and distinct to each wine. All three were smooth, delicious and drinking extremely well right now. I don’t think anyone noticed that the RRV was 60% more expensive than the other two.

Medium purple color with slow legs. Cedar, cherry and spice on the nose. Black cherry, raspberry and orange peel on the palate. Nice satin like finish. Should be better in a year or two.

Enjoyable, but a little out of balance right now. Lots of energy and dark cherry fruit, clove and spice. Finishes a little hot. I know WS Pinots tend to drink better with a little bit of time after release, but this is the reason I bought a couple of bottles. I always like to see how they are out of the gate. Sometimes you wine some and sometimes you lose some. Glad I have another bottle!

Popped and poured into glass. It’s a much different wine to me than Sonoma county. Here we have more menthol, mint, earth driven notes on the nose. Tastes of cherry cola and a zippy tang on the palette. Finish is crisp and light.

Decanted 1 hour prior, unripe cherry, subdued spice notes with a short but smooth finish. Seems to lack any depth or complexity as probably being de-classified Vista Verde fruit. Would probably hold for 1-2 years and revisit.

Notes of cloves, cinnamon, sage, and thyme on the nose. The palate shows sweet fruit, with subtle hints of baking spice on the finish. The finish lacks depth, which prevents a higher score. Still the best value in the WS lineup. Drink now or hold for several more years.

Med dark ruby, bright, clear; yummy ripe and youthful fruit, berries, hint of baking spice but in the background, vibrant, very young, well-balanced if not complex or long. Really nice weekday Pinot from my fav CA PN producer. Try again in 2 years. Dos Besos w/J&A. Great with the jamon iberico/paella

Young, primary, and non-descript. Lacking character and personality. I’d like to think it will improve with age, but not sure it will. Things that make you go “hmmm”.

Great balance - cherries, hint of strawberry and a bit more acid than a Sonoma Pinot. Drinking really well. Paired with shellfish and was excellent.

Smooth on front, but waaaaaay too acidic. I would advise keeping it in Cellar at least another year to break the acid down a bit more.

Purple color, smell like blood, warm& sweet spices when poured
In half an hour the blood settles, on the palate is ripe blueberries with satin finish and soft tannin
Would like to see how this bottle develops in next few days
Day 2
Much more pronounced aromas
Raspberry + blueberry mix, Sour plum, sweet + savory notes that came out, things that weren’t there yesterday
Exceeded expectation overall! Looking forward to trying in a few years

This is my 1st WS! This is a yum wine, complexity a little lacking, but pleasure is not! MUCH better than the Sonoma County.
