  • Day 1: Pop and pour and natural cork. Solid wine with seasoned meats, raspberries, boysenberries, floral and sour fruits. Not a real concentrated wine but tasty. Certainly not worth $60 but via auction under $40 with shipping. 90 points
Day 2: Solid overall with raspberries, dried twigs, sour fruits, floral, earth and some mild spices. A very elegant style Syrah which is not Northern Rhone like or really similar to much on the west coast. Maybe a little similar to Pax without the intensity. 90 points
Day 3: Still a mellow effort overall and I don't see this wine improving long term but I would recommend cellar for 5 years. Boysenberries, floral, mild spice, earth, twigs, forest floor and some sour fruits. Shorter finish and rustic overall. 90 points
Recommendation: This is a lighter style for sure but wish it offered more of the character I like in Syrah such as pepper, tar and minerals. Would not buy again.
