The fruit was riper than anticipated given the travails of the vintage, but this has excellent energy and density. Should be excellent in time.

Tasted during a visit to the estate. Limited wines on offer given the devastating 2021 vintage which saw the loss of ~60% of the volume due to frost. Otherwise, we were told 2021 was a more classic, early drinking vintage.
The Clos du Caillerets offered an appealing array of mineral notes such as smoke and graphite. The fruit profile was mostly citric with dominant lemon. A floral dimension of white flowers added complexity. The palate was more rich and structured than the Clos du Caillerets.
