  • Interesting tasting and talk with the
    enthusiastic Francois Mitjavile, the owner at Chateau Tertre Roteboeuf. What makes his wines truly special, is the fine grained tannins and the phenolic maturation. The wines feel light and drinkable quite early. The 2021 is tasted straight from the barrel, and shows extreme elegance. Lifted aromas of violet, plum, blackberry, cherry, chocolate and cedar. Very long. A personal favourite from St. Emilion.

  • (93-95 vvPunkte) Kräftige Farbe. Ganz leichte reduktiv Noten, öffnet sich schnell, sehr feiner Duft, Dunkle Beeren reiffruchtig, auch etwas eingekochte Erdbeeren, Pflaumen, Gewürze, Gräser. top. Der Gaumen ist straff, zeigt eine gute Konzentration, die frische ist da, die Frucht ist reif, feinste Tannine top länge. Ein ausgezeichneter 2021er mit grosser Länge. 2025-2045+ (Verkostet "En Primeur" im April 2022. Château Tertre Roteboeuf)

  • Flowers, spice, crushed stone, savory red fruit, raspberries, 5 spice, cinnamon, cherries and peppery spices create on the most compelling noses of the vintage. On the palate, the wine is earthy, lush, round and continues in the spicy mode in the mid-palate all the way through to the finish. The blend is 85% Merlot and 15% Cabernet Franc, 14% ABV, the harvest took place October 5 - October 15. Drink from 2024-2045. 93-95
