Of two malbecs picked to cook a slow-cooked lamb dish this was my wife's favourite, and bit more acidic and fruitier than the Salentein. Worth getting again.

Simple, with notes of boysenberry and plum leading the way. Moderate tannins emerge late, providing much needed tension, and linger on the medium finish.

Dark berry nose and flavours saddled with an un-appealing impression of gassy, boiled eggs. It could be considered a fault, but it's not the sort that's likely to vary bottle to bottle. 2.5/5

This is nice! I asked for an earthy red and this is what they recommended.

not a value, too thin and young. There are much better Malbec options that offer the minerality and earthiness and tannins of ARgentina mendoza

Bloem Autumn tasting (Nicolai church, Utrecht, Netherlands): Spices, blackberry, more black fruit, chocolate, clearly malbec. Medium acidity, medium+ tannins, medium finish. 87
