  • Six months in the cellar. Light gold, reductive flint aroma at first, evolving into a delicate candied lemon-lime, lightly gingery aromatic melange. In the mouth there is an mildly unctuous feel, some tart but ripe pear, threaded by acidity and salty minerality. The finish, initially clipped, with time in the glass intensified and lengthened. Already delightful at 2 years. Memorable. Tablas Creek caught lightning in this bottling!

    NOSE: light and bright.

BODY: light to medium-light bodied; very light, pale yellow color.

TASTE: medium+ to high acidity; floral -- dandelion/honeysuckle; banana leaf; 12.0% alc. not noticeable. It's good, but that's about it. Not particularly interesting or unique in any way. Not a rebuy at $28, but I'd be all over it at $15. Gut impression score: mid to high 80s.

  • Light aromatics of white flower on the nose, bright acidity and minerality, lemon zest with a touch of light peach. Really a slightly lighter version of picpoul blanc, light mouthfeel and finish. This was a wonderfully light and acidic wine, would recommend this as a starter wine given its so light but still flavorful.

  • Lovely... Sweet indiscriminate white fruit. Clean and pure, taut and bright. Great weight with amazing juiciness. Not complex but oh so pleasurable.
