Wine Rating Methodology 96-100: One of the most enjoyable wines I have ever tasted. I would not hesitate to open this wine for any Master of Wine. 91-95: Extremely enjoyable wine that I would drink and buy again. Fantastic to open up for those who appreciate wine. 85-90: Decent to good wine. Weekday bottle you don’t feel guilty about not finishing. Below 85: would not drink or buy again. ***Price of wine vs. enjoyment (value) is taken into consideration ***I do not provide tasting notes as everyone’s palate is different, and will have a different experience.

This is very nice and in the house style. I'm not sure the vintage has the concentration that you typically find from WS. I'm okay with that as I like my pinots with some edge.

Lacks some of the interesting secondary flavors of other vintages. Perhaps time would help this one. Still a great wine but hard to justify the price. Run of the mill cherry, cola, and medium plus acidity.

C: not quite clear (but poured into a decanter), ruby, S: cherry, grass, tootsie roll, nutmeg, T: hint of sweetness, cherry, bright acid, carmel middle/finish. Flavor not totally bold - a tiny bit watery R: One buy again, one "it was fine"

Mostly black tea and allspice on the nose. Doesn’t have much going on compared to other WS Pinots. On the palate, this is a brooding wine, with some really nice dark fruit. It does have some orange peel in the mid palate along with some allspice. Seems like it has a bit lower acidity, as it has some slightly bigger mouthfeel. A little bit of spice on the finish with the signature Williams Selyem tea.

A little high-toned and medicinal for me.

Drunk over two nights and perhaps better the second? Richer and fuller than some AV Pinot's, dark cherry, hint of tar, pomegranate.

Ruby, color with medium legs. Orange peel, cedar and clove on the nose. Raspberry, plum and red tea on the palate. Long silky finish.
