I’m between 93-94 here. I haven’t had one of these with significant age, so I’m curious how they evolve. That being said, this was excellent.
Barrel selection of Stolpman’s best roussanne, blended with a kiss of Chardonnay (7%). Removed cork and let breathe for 30mins before consuming from bottle over the next two days.
This is incredibly concentrated but with a shockingly balanced acidity profile. Golden in the glass. The glass jumps at you with tropical yellow fruit, honeycomb, orange marmalade and roasted macadamia nuts. A bit oily initially but the finish has such vibrant and very acidity to snap this back sporting truffle honey and ginger. Excellent. Need to find more.

Brilliant yellow gold - looks delish; lemon scented vanilla cream - smells delish; rich thick viscous concentrated creamy palate with enough acid to keep the vanilla and lemon in keen focus on long unfettered palate presence - tastes delish. This along with Booker’s White are very successful Caltakes on Rhone varietals - Bravo.

Color/App: medium/deep yellow/gold core with medium + viscosity. Luscious and lovely bouquet of golden apples, ginger, lychee and jasmine and honeysuckle. Big-boned white but balanced and lithe -- not syrupy -- and less oily than I recall the '10 being. Palate of golden raisins, tropical fruit, ginger and spice. Plump midpalate and with a moderately long finish, this checks all my boxes for quality new world Roussanne. Got to admit, I'd love to see Stolpman mix this with Marsanne to see their take on a new world Hermitage/St. Joseph blanc. I think that might make an even bigger splash than this. 93.5

Golden yellow. Full bodied, rich, viscous mouth feel. Woody, tropical fruit, big flavor. Although probably best paired with food, I enjoyed a glass or two on its own on day two. Super delicious. Terrific wine.

A delectable , complex wine that shows how delicious and food friendly Roussane can be. The golden color is so inviting. Tastes of of pineapple, apricot and citrus on depth and acidity take one to a special place. You will not find a better pairing for mixed Paella.

Sadly, my last bottle of this extraordinary wine. As good as the best bottle of this that I have had. Still mind-blowing. Has it all. Rich golden-yellow, and very viscous. Honeyed, butterscotch, honeysuckle, golden delicious apple nose is very special. So inviting and complex. The mouth is, if possible, even better: rich, full, very long, very awesome, can hardly believe how ripe this can be without being the least bit off-putting or overly sweet. This is hands down one of the best American white wines I have tasted over 37 years of wine tasting. It is that good. 5-14-19-10: 98/100.

Another stellar bottle of this wine. Perhaps the best American white Rhone style wine I have ever had. This has character and personality in spades. Has a honeyed, almost butterscotch element to it. Just fantastic. I'll reiterate my earlier "95" rating on this. I could even be talked into a 96/100, it is that good.

Once again, shining brightly. Very deep, dark color--amazing. Otherwise, pretty much similar to my earlier notes, very consistent on the nose and in the mouth. This is special, and one of the very best Rousannes I have ever tasted from CA. 5-13-17-9: 94/100.

Blind tasting at the Wine Exchange. More yellow than the first wine. Viscous. Smoky nose. White Burgundy? Deep, oak, heavier. Beautiful elegance in the mouth. Lighter than I expected. A beauty. 5-13-17-8: 93/100.
This was best on the second night. That being said, it's nowhere near a 97 point wine IMHO. It shows honeyed peach and other stone fruit with great acidity, especially considering the varietal. Good wine but not amazing.

This is an excellent wine. It is a burnished golden yellow that clings to the glass. Nose is filled with fruit: peach, apricot, hints of orange. In the mouth, it is different: very delicate but rich, evoking thoughts of chardonnay--and a very fine one at that. Lovely finish, long and creamy, it caresses the tongue for a good long time. At $40, this is a steal! Bought five more bottles based on this tasting, and a tasting at Wine Exchange, where this was my favorite of ten wines. 5-13-18-9: 95/100.

Triple blind tasting at the Wine Exchange. More yellow than the first one. Discus. Smoky nose. White Burgundy? Deep, oak, heavier. Beautiful elegance in the mouth. Later than I expected. A beauty. 5-13-17-8: 93/100.
