  • Considering its youth this was drinking pretty well. Bright red fruit with good balance just starting to open up, can age 10+ years but can try with some decanting now if you got the $$.

  • Gevrey Masterclass @Sommcellars. Much has been said recently about Fourrier, especially on the negoce cuvees, but this wine nailed it. Spicy, airy scents, sweet red berries, some chaptalization is perceptible, silky mid palate with good textures, pliant rather than deep, but long, minerally inflected, elegant mounting finish. Very good now and almost ready to drink, and can go on for many years.
