  • Decanted 90 minutes before drinking, it was a bit tight and astringent when first in the glass, but it opened up nicely with 15 plus minutes of air. As the meal progressed, it started to show more fruit and balance. By 30 minutes in it was full and quite enjoyable.

  • Medium to dark ruby, rich looking. Nose has some floral and earthy notes along with cherry fruit. Mouth feel is rich and chewy with some gripping tannin. Better with 2-3 hours of breathing than right after opening. I think age will keep helping this wine. The flavors are rich and vibrant with red fruit and earthy minerals and a touch of chocolate. Nice finish with some balance and bright acidity.

  • A little time has made a difference with this wine. Still more time before it reaches maturity. Medium to dark garnet color. Nose has bacon, smoke, earth, mushroom, black cherry and a hint of orange marmalade. Rich mouth feel, but on the borderline for me on pinot noir being too cab-like and extracted. The bacon and mushroom come out in the palate first then the fruit and a long earthy finish. Excellent with a grilled filet mignon.

  • I am still thinking as in my last note that this needs more time, but I did find the wine a bit thicker and closed and less pinot noir like than I prefer. I think it will soften and get more round but wonder if this is made too much like a cab than I like in Pinot Noir. Time will tell.

  • I think this needs a good deal more age. Earthy and fruity with nice depth and lots of secondary flavors and smells. Still a bit closed. Nice complexity and just a little well integrated tannin. I think it will improve.

  • A full-bodied, fuirt-forward style pinot. A quality wine but not my preferred style for pinot.

  • Nose was rather flat, not much at all. Palate was thin, not that impressive. This wine was much better one year ago when I tried it for the first time.

  • Brought this bottle right up from the cellar. Ran through a Vinturi into a Decanter. My first sample in the glass, the nose was like Chemicals (Nail Polish remover to be exact). Not appealing so I was reluctant to have more and then after an hour when the wine warmed up to room temperature I poured a full glass and things changed. The Nose perked up to nice red fruit and on the palate was enjoyable with red cherries and plum. Glad I gave it a chance because it really evolved with the change in temp. I have a few more bottles and will be sure to have a little patience.

  • Not much on the nose. Some earth and mushrooms, but not in an unpleasant way. Pleasant taste, but not a lot of fruit, but some dark berries. A nice, reasonably long finish. Paired well with grilled tuna.
