Drank from a 3L, decanted for 4 hours before serving on Christmas Eve. No formal note but I was very pleasantly surprised by this in light of the WS rating and some CT comments. Probably peaking, this is ready to drink now. Typical cherry note.

This was a wonderful example of a Brunello. It had flavors of cherry, with an aroma of earth and licorice. I would agree with other tasting notes which added olives and herbs. It had a long smooth finish.

Cherries, licorice and a bit of tar on the nose. Nicely replayed on the palate with the addition of olives and herbs and soil with soft tannins. Nice long finish.

Medium ruby; no sign of age. Very attractive nose, typically Sangiovese: sour cherries, a bit of smoke, something feral. On the palate, very elegant tannins, great length; high acidity, which I like, especially with food. Very good indeed.

Very attractive and quite assertive nose: hard to pin down a description, cause very complex, but I'd hazard a guess at sour cherries, wood smoke, wet fur, forest floor...yes, wild mushrooms. On the palate, pleasantly grippy but not as tannic as many Brunellos; medium bodied, good length. High acidity as you'd expecty, making it an excellent food wine. Recommended for funky wine lovers.

Somewhat closed nose with some black currant and wet horse. Fullbodied and meaty with firm tannins and pleasant acidity and long finish. Will probably improve a lot in five years (92p?).

Quite lite red color. Nose of deep red fruits such as you would smell in intensely ripe raspberries. This is reflected in the notes - flavors of intense raspberry, some strawberry, and a long, red-fruit tannic finish. The strawberry is more pronounced as it breathes and vanilla enters the picture an hour into the decanting.
Drunk at St. George restaurant in the park, Milan, Italy.
