  • This showed nothing and I mean NOTHING, hour after hour in decanter with multiple (many) decantings. Until about hour 5. Black fruits, new rubber, spice box and sage. The palate is delicious with loads of sweet, but brooding jet-black fruits, granitic minerals, herbs and spices, oak and mint. This will need several years to come around (or an all-day decant). Drink 2026-2032 93

  • Preliminary review with limited air:
Beautiful nose, loaded with sweet, pure blackberry syrup, scorched earth and oak. Full-bodied, this is taut and muscly while having a moderately corpulent body. Loads of blackberry, black currant, black cherry and liquified granite. So good. Excellent now, I bet this will improve with a year or two in the cellar. Drink 2025-2030+ 92+.

  • Banging dark fruit bonanza here w the Pintas Character f Wine & Soul (v20, 14.5% ABV, plenty of grapes) - my first go with this ’second’ Pintas. Dark, dense red, purple rims. Deep, intense & rich scents of plush dark fruit - blueberries, plums, brambles, followed by roasted & toasted notes of coffee, violets, undertones of wood & spice, leading to an all-fruit, sappy & full-bodied palate, fine-grained tannic structure, touch of sour plums, decent enough acidity - quite precise, closing on a herbal-sour, long note.
