Another nondescript blend trading on the parent name. If you are tempted to buy it, walk down to the other end of the shelf and look for either Conundrum or Educated Guess red blends, both are better at half the price.
I think this is a nice enough wine in the $40-$50 range but doesn't exceed the QPR. Plenty of fruit. I'd buy again for a group as it would be well received. Held up over 2 nights.

Decanted for 30 minutes before first glass, finished over the next two hours straddling dinner (grilled ribeye) and children's bedtime. Nose was fresh and bordered on jammy, rich with tones of blue fruit and dark cherries. On the palate much of the same, notes of plum, black cherry, and oaky vanilla, with a luscious mouth feel and lengthy finish. Frankly exceeded expectations for age and vintage, really pleasantly surprised. 91+

Drinks great. Far better than the 18 or 19. Mellower but more enjoyable.

Deep purple ruby in color. Acid is medium high, dry, tannins medium high, alcohol medium high, finish is very long, full bodied.
Aromas of bright intense sweet black cherries, blueberry jam, raspberries.
On the palate, intense Napa fruitiness of cherries, raspberries, with some vanilla, oak, chocolate, black pepper lingering in the finish.
Needs more time for the tannins to settle down. Looking forward to see how it evolved with some decanting.

Great restrained style for NAPA. Wonderfully enjoyable. Was just a short decant.
