Garnet-crimson; black currants, blackberries, game, tar, vanilla; cassis, blackberry, earthy, medium-full body, good acidity, slightly bitter tannins, decent finish. First, black currant notes then a meaty, blackberry flavour. Nice blending of the two varietals but more ripeness needed to balance the tannins. Still a good midweek quaffer.

Color: Deep ruby. Nose: Dark berries like blackberries and cassis. Mouth: Full bodied. Very good expressiveness and length. The oak is there but not overpowering. There is a nice fruity sourness in the mid-palate. The alc.of 14.5% is well under control. A bit wishy-washy and lacking personality. However very enjoyable.

From a 375ml bottle that was popped 2 hours prior to drinking. Jammy dark fruit with spicy notes on the nose. Medium to full bodied, smooth and supple, delivering overripe/jammy dark fruit with spicy and licorice notes and a gentle dusty kick on the finish. Good acidic structure. Very consistent every vintage.

Dark fruit, oak, vanilla, and chocolate. Uncomplicated with few tannins and decent acidity and an artificial aftertaste. Not many layers of flavors BUT for the price, still a good wine. There are wines that cost 50% more and taste considerably worse.
