Bordeaux 2022 en Primeur and some recent vintages: Hmm, this wine still seemed very primary and was difficult to assess, not much going on yet. From the first impression, similar style than the 2019. 92-93

Branaire-Ducru has really done something special in 2022; despite the warmth of the vintage, Branaire has crafted a wine of fabulous elegance. Tasted twice, this shows a billowy, aromatic nose full of raspberry, plum, and boysenberry with a lovely, lovely delicacy despite its plush softness. The berries were the smallest ever here, ~1gm for the Cabernets (not unusual in 2022) with yields of 30-35hl/ha, harvested Sept 12-24. This is the first vintage made in the new cellar, which is spectacular and expanded the number of fermentation vats substantially to allow for much more precise parcellar picking. While I'm always skeptical of "best ever" titles, I think it's pretty clear that this is the best vintage of Branaire Ducru produced to date.

Deep in color, the wine displays its bouquet of flowers before getting to all of its dark, red fruits, spice, mocha, nutmeg, vanilla, and black cherries. While the aromatics are enticing, it is on the palate, with all of its silky-textures, creaminess, energy and most importantly, purity of fruit and concentration that provides you with the best part of the experience. The finish has never been this defined, elegant and concentrated in any previous vintage of Branaire Ducru. This is an entirely new level of quality here. Clearly, this is the best vintage of Branaire Ducru ever produced! The wine blends 60.5% Cabernet Sauvignon, 31.5% Merlot, 5.5% Cabernet Franc, and 2.5% Petit Verdot. 14.3% ABV, 3.65 pH. The harvest took place September 12 - September 24. The yields were 34 hectoliters per hectare. Drink from 2027-2060. 96-98 Pts.

En Primeur campaign for the 2022 vintage Day Four (Bordeaux): Cream, plum initially, a little violet, blackcurrant has a little jammy note, sweet spice. Medium plus intensity acidity, red and black fruits; currant, berries and plums, a tiny liquorice note lends a little touch of bitterness, concentrated without being over wrought, tannins are talc textured, persistent with a touch of alcohol warmth on the finish which helps carry everything long.

Bordeaux 2022 barrel samples and some additional vintages (Solliden in Stockhom): I can confirm what has already been written by others that this is one of the bargains of 2022. My perspective is a comparison between in total 32 other wines.
Bordeaux 2022 en primeur tasting.
