Medium ruby in the glass. Intense, developing aromas of black raspberry, blackberry, raspberry- just brambles all around here- red fruited jam, black pepper, crushed rock, oak, vanilla, smoke. Feels very young. In the mouth, the wine is dry, full bodied, high acid, medium tannin, high alcohol, intense in the mouth with a medium finish. Overall, very good. Deftly balanced with the alcohol which is no small task, but it does get a little in your face as the bottle empties.
Young but drinkable. Raspberry driven bouquet, lots of sweetness. Not very big. Medium finish with a bit too much sweetness for my taste but quite nice.

I wouldn't call this pop n' pour exactly, it started out flat and didn't give up anything, then with about 45 minutes of air it popped on the palate. Bright fruit, red raspberry all the way. Lighter in color and weight than previous vintages, but it's still very young.

Red raspberry and grapefruit - very tart.
Perhaps give it another year to mature and mellow?
Hopefully - we usually love Ueberroth
