Was worried i might have waited too long but the beautiful fruit was still there along with secondary notes of oak, leathef, spicebox and still enough acidity to lift it into a long finish

From a group of N&N bottles that we didn’t originally store well the first couple years until cellaring. Have been holding off drinking these expecting they were turned. Could not be farther from the truth for this bottle. Deep ruby purple color with a just hint of brick. Not too much sediment considering it’s age. Slow legs. Licorice, tar and blackberry nose. Almost effervescent with a nice acidity. Licorice and black fruit palate. Long finish with a suede texture.

Bright red fruit mingled with dark fruits, hint of oak and vanilla. Reasonable acidity, nice finish. This has to be near it's peak. Glad l have an unsealed OWC in the cellar!

Decanted 2+ hours. Bright red fruit at first followed by vanilla and oak and finishing with darker fruit and smooth tannins. All this under a blanket of bright acidity, which adds length to the finish. May gain more elegance with time and will probably show well with rich food.

Cabernet Finale (Wine Exchange. Orange, CA): Drank as part of a Cab Sauv tasting and it had been decanted for several hours. Pencil and raspberry on the nose. Lots of acidity with medium tannins. Needs some time to integrate, but should be a good one in a couple of years.

Obvious CA cab nose with red currant, plum and vanilla nose with just a touch of earth. Dusty red fruits on the palate with a decent finish. Very soft on the palate with virtually no tannin.

"Anniversary" Weekend at Rob & Lisa's; 5/29/2009-6/1/2009 (Scott's Valley, CA): Popped and poured. The nose showed ripe, and fresh red fruits, anise, and a green herbasciousness. The taste was full of blueberries and plums with some red currant. Nice balance of fruit with the chewy, sweet tannins into the very ripe, round fruits on the finish. I think this is a very well made and approachable Cabernet, however there is nothing here that makes me want to run out and spend the ~$75 on a bottle.

Very dark color and showing lots of that nice ripe California Cabernet fruit on the nose. Smooth and easy to enjoy but lacking a bit when it comes to the finish. I would have liked to have seen a little more structure and tannin to clean things up on the end. Overall very nice and an easy crowd pleaser but for the price, you can do better.

A good cab. Usual cab fruit flavors. Balanced. Well integrated tannins. Medium finish. Not great QPR at close $90 a bottle.
