  • A wine that is more interesting than enjoyable, at least to me. Unmistakable cat piss at first, which dissipates. Others come in slowly as the wine opens up, honey and lemon peel at first, followed by nutty almond, tar, petrol, earthy and deep aromas, pine, turpentine. Quite oaky on the palate, with smoke, sawdust, and buttered popcorn, and an odd bit of potpourri. The contrast between the oak and the acidity was a bit jarring, it didn't feel very well-integrated. Otherwise, I was fascinated even when I was repulsed.
