  • Orange peel, lemon peel, orange blossom, lillies, a little lees influence, a little funk on the nose. Feels very "full" yet also too simple. My first thought is that this spent extra time on the skins but that's prohibited in AOC Chablis. So what happened here? Did they pick later? Anyway, the palate is cleaner than the nose; it thankfully loses the funk and it's mostly driven by autolytic yeast flavors. Not much minerality.

Medium + body with high acid. Only 12% alcohol yet still feels very "big". Short finish. Is this wine unblanaced? Yes it is! Furthermore, there is no Chablis typicity here at all. Overall an easy sipper but disappointing.
