This is drinking great. Lovely fresh pineapple on the nose and green notes. Palate has some spice and wisps of smoke as reviewers suggest. Quite fresh - nice balance between tropical fruit with some deeper butterscotch notes (but not overly buttery or rich). I think this is exceptional wine for money.

California ex-pat in SA. Smoke and savory and great texture on the pallet. Super interesting, just a touch of smoke. A little bit of reduction maybe to the point of smoke taint.

Light golden in colour. Its's not giving away a great deal on the nose although faint traces of lime, seaweed, hay and butterscotch. First impression is of sheer weight and density on the palate as there's a real core of coiled up power and concentration. It is savoury and acid driven, yet can also seem a touch sweet. Expect this needs 5 to 10 minimum cellaring...

Has a bitter smoke thing on the back end. A twang that just hits me wrong.

Rich and precise with good minerality and touch of oak on the finish.

A bit thick and smoky. Not as crisp as the last bottle I had of the 2017 version. Needs some time in the cellar for my taste
