Abv 11.4%. Despite the amber colour, there was a surprising amount of freshness and acidity still remaining to offset the sweetness and maturity. There were flavours of ripe peach, marzipan even a little toffee mixed in with confusing notes of putty. Remarkably, it’s still alive and kicking after 44 years! CHP 87 pts
