Aromas of strawberries, raspberries, and black pepper. Somewhat tight but still noticeable. Deep black fruit comes through along with a spicy finish. There is a bit of heat to this wine and with a 13.5% alc I would expect it to be better blended. Overall an interesting experience. ($11)

Not my style. Heavy, almost black, unfiltered. All four of us drinking it thought it was an odd wine. This was 2 weeks ago, so I can't remember specifics, but it probably could have done with a decant.

Opens with a very vegetal nose with some real funk. Medium-bodied, with some tannins on the back end. The wine is actually getting pretty smooth, the problem of flavor is still there - it just doesn't taste that good to me. I've bought a couple of this, and will avoid it in the future.

Zin flavors come through, but there is much more going on than that. Deep dark (from the petit sirah), noticable tannins. A little rough around the edges but opens up after some air time. Nice blend, something different.

Had this in a blind tasting with family and friends along with 4 other red wines at this price point, and this was the group favorite (but not mine). Startling dark purple color, tons of jammy blackberries and blueberries (a fruit bomb) with some tannins for structure. Finish was not bad. Very tasty.

Beautiful deep purple color. Rich nose of leather and dark berries. Very smooth drinking wine with a short finish. Nothing to knock your socks off, but that's not really the purpose of this wine. It's a pleasant inexpensive, very drinkable wine that would pair well with most rich meals.

Cork had a lot of sediment on it but the wine was fine. To mirror other postings - the wine is a good value but nothing special. A good every day wine. Fun label.

Dry and tannic immediately after opening, but smoothed out considerably! Not too bad for the price, fairly good structure, but a prominent green flavor (ie. the grapes were not ripe enough when picked).

Typical Petite Sirah aromas, flavor, and tooth staining. Even though it also has Barbera, Zinfandel, and Carignane, it reminds me of Bogle Petite Sirah.

Very dark color and initially a little tannic. A half hour in the decanter really smoothed things out. A nice bottle with a good blend of flavors dominated by a barbera style that I like.

Deep purple color with Cocoa and Leather in the nose. Neither overpowering or bland on the palate, just a respectable wine that works for every day pairings. Good QPR from Nine North. I always pick it when it shows up at L.A. Wine Co.

According to the sommelier, this is a blend of "everything and the kitchen sink." 64% Petite Sirah, 18% Zinfandel, 8% Barbera, 8% Malbec, 2% Carignane. No character, unbalanced, very short finish. Avoid.

Quaffable blend of petite sirah, barbera, zin and carignan from CA (I was told Napa winemakers' odd lots from various places). Nothing special, but affordable at least. Had at a tasting.

Very surprising, not bad at all. Floral, fruit and tea on the nose, smooth on the palate and a nice finish. Second day the fruit has opened up a bit on the nose and palate, tasting raspberry. This is a great wine to serve for those that don't fully appreciate wine.

Given the CT notes of others, wasn't expecting much from this... but hey, it's not half bad. Is it complex and intellecual? Hell no. Is it easy to drink and go well with tacos or BBQ. Definitely. Looks like grape juice in the glass. A little sweet tannin...lots of blue fruit, but not over the top. Nice QPR and a wine non wine folks would like.

Gibby's Uncorked, Flight III (Geneva, IL): Poured at a retailer tasting. Garnet color. Aromas of pepper and juicy red fruit. Briary dark fruit and pepper flavors on the palate. Decent acidity and slightly chewy tannins.

Not as bad as some of the other reviews. Opens up nicely after 30/60 minutes. Prefer the Red Truck for the same price.
