This is a nice, solid burgundy for the price. Mostly red fruits with a tiny bit of watermelon jolly rancher. Lots of acidity and very mild tannins. A little chalk on the finish. Overall, juicy and fruity and a nice quaffable burgundy. Good for just drinking without food.

Hoped this would approach how good the 2005 was, but the difference between the two vintages really shows... solid pinot, but doesn't have the great fruit or complexity of its predecessor.

Wineberry Boutique Estates Tasting: This is my first taste of 2006 red Burgundy, so not quite sure how to approach this one. It’s got pretty fruit, firm acid and a somewhat wispy streak of tannin. At the value end of the range, it tastes more serious than the Bourgogne (see below), but the Bourgogne is definitely more fun.
