Decanted for 2hrs prior to drinking. The pleasant nose of berries, jam and currant were apparent. Very smooth to the taste with reasonably long finish.

Double decanted. Very very dark. Much more delicate than the Margaux of the same vintage. So precise and focused. Intensely seductive. Supremely concentrated, like it's about to explode. Fascinating.

Medium-dark red color. Cassis, mineral, and smoke aromatics. Robust forward, supple flavor with only modest tannins. Moderate fruit concentration and finish. Corked was popped 4 hours before serving. For a 15 year old Latour, this is remarkably mature. Drinkable now, though will hold an additional 5 years easily.

Good drive and intensity of all the classic left bank flavours. Finish is shorter than expected. Very good effort for a weak vintage. Just passed the peak, drink now if you can.

Smooth but powerful upon opening, with some heat in the finish, still showing very significant tannins (no surprise). An hour after decanting it began to open up, however several hours later closed down and the tannins again dominated. Great wine (for an off vintage), but I would not open another for several years.

The nose displayed tobacco, green pepper, vanilla oak, violets, cocoa powder and graphite. Palate was initially lean and thin. But it really gained a lot more weight and power from decanting, but the vintage’s greenness was still noticeable. A good effort for a weak vintage. An elegant Latour and no harm to drink one now. However, there are much better wine to buy at this price.

Chateau Latour - 30 year vertical (1983-2010) tasted blind (Switzerland): Difficult position after the flamboyant 2009 but this wine held its own. I liked the classic nose here with forest floor, pine, earth. Serious and dense on the palate, a touch of greenness but much less than other vintages tonight. Very good overall, especially for the vintage.

This is an exceptional wine. The wine had lovely notes of leather, graphite, and pure black fruits. The mid palate was so smooth and silky. The finish was long and beautiful. Exceptional effort from a sub-par vintage.

Opened at 10TS in London. Ex-Chateau provenance. Decanted and enjoyed over several games of pool, catching up with an old friend.
Definitely infanticide, but this was still a solid Bordeaux. Powerful Pauillac nose full of black and blue fruits, quite earthy and backed by a lot of structure and minerality. Tannins definitely present - this just needs more time.
Revisit in 5+ years at least with definite upside, could see this climbing up to 94 as the fruit starts to express itself more and the wine is less tense.

Pure Cabernet aromas of dusty, rusty pipe, (Pauillac-like) with black cherry fruit. In short, beautiful aromatics that seduces. From a Magnum with 3 hours of decanting. Super elegant and sumptuous fruit with Cabernet throughout the taste. Finishes with soft tannins. Lighter than typical Latour but still a great wine. Drink now

Drinking well but nothing to write home about. Hits the right notes on the nose and palate and finish was reasonably robust but as a package difficult to justify the price premium. "Rien de special".

The 2007 Latour is a beautiful classic rendition of the vintage showing chocolate and deep, sweet layers and violets and cassis. There is plenty of potential in this uncompromising grand vin.

Latour Dinner with Frederic from Chateau Latour. Gorgeous nose. Complex and well balanced. Graphite and minerals. In a nice drinking window now like a lot of 07' Bordeaux. Solid wine.
We have been sipping 2007s as a lot of the "experts" say drinking well young. Rich, ruby red with a rim just developing. Dark chocolate with hints of coffee aromas. Powerful wine with soft and complex tannin developing slowly but surely as the wine breathes. Dark red berries and chocolate. A touch of licorice and cherry flavoured cough syrup. Well structured, will age. Yummy now, worthy of tasting, but clearly an elegant lady in waiting ❤️🍷

Popped 3 hours and decant 1 hour before serving. Still young with a hint of purple. Good structure and Surprisingly smooth mouth feeling. Nuanced and balanced. A little lack of tannins makes one wonder its long term prospect.

Opaque garnet. A slightly muted red and dark fruit nose with tobacco, leather and animality. Strong oak presence of cedar, chocolate and coffee. Within a few hours the wine develops a strong and charming scent of lilacs. Fullbodied and extracted palate of cherry and cassis. A good deal of tannins, sure, but the grip is rather smooth for such a young wine. Salt liquorice, chocolate, gravelly minerality and fine oak character. Long finish, even if not that layered. Already surprisingly approachable and open for business. A really nice wine, but a bit out of place.

the typical aroma is somewhat there, but the wine is still
too tannic, not balanced, med harmony, below expectations.
not an enjoyable vintage.
