  • Good cork, unlike last note. Garnet centre with brown rim. Old leather haunting fragrance on the nose. Leather, softness, faded fruit, just a touch of varnish but still a drinkable integrated wine. Shortish finish. Drink up and consume with cheese platter to flatter the wine.

  • The first wine I have Coravined. I will report on rest of bottle in a month.
Garnet centre and translucent edge. Intriguing aroma of leather, varnish (?brown shoe polish), mushroom, red berry aromas. Soft in the mouth with leather, varnish, vague winey flavour. Shortish finish. Probably past it's peak. Gentle downhill slide. Wouldn't showcase this but good as part of a vertical tasting or '87 Aussie reds. Wish this had been under Stelvin. Coravin report after half the bottle under argon for a week - tastes even better than first pour! More fruit (winegum), tastes less old, more complex and interesting. On an n of 1, Coravin works.
