This bottle went from the winery to my cellar. Unbelievable after 10 years this wine is opening up to smooth tannins and black cherries. Fruit is well rounded. I opened bottles after my purchase years ago and I thought they were good . However, with time comes character and a great zin continues. I wouldn't let any more at this age go any longer though. I've always thought Peju did a great job and years later it continues to show. Storage is an important component as well. Prost.

Nice rich ruby hue with slight hints of rust. Looked unfiltered. Blinded on it and guessed central coast cab. Soft tannins, wood chips, dark fruit, and pepper. Drank quickly with friends, which was a good thing as it died quickly.

This Zin is in the twilight of its life. I found bottle in the bottom of my wine frig. A closed nose which opened up after one hour of decanting. The first twoglasses had some good fruit along with a smell of pepper and spice. Afterwards the bottle was quickly undrinkable. My fault to let good wine go bad. I was in Napa this past week and visited their winery which reminded me to look for Peju at home.

Very little fruit immediately after opening...mostly alcohol and pepper and spice. After about an hour, the fruit emerged. Cherry and raspberry along with spice. Noticeable heat and tannins. Nice, long, soft oaky finish.

Brought by Randy for pizza night. Initially I thought this might have been corked as this was devoid of fruit. I revisited a bit later in the evening, and was glad I did. Spicy red fruit on the nose and a nice balance on the palate. Briary red fruit right on through the finish. A small amount of noticeable heat.

My fault--stored this wine too long. We love PEJU wines!

Very bright and fruity wine. A big, chewy zin. Lots of blackberry and cherry with peppery finish. A very good wine, drink up!
