  • Consistent with prior note, only better. Amazing for an off-vintage. Nicely balanced aromatics AND palate. Ripe and fleshy but with nice restraint on the palate, and silky tannins on the finish make a winning combination. Well done.

  • Postscript to my prior note from yesterday. Drank last half of bottle last nite, this time as part of our Xtremo tasting, and without food. Different wine in some ways: More pruny fruit, less elegant than I initially thought and more harsh at the back end. Tannins seemed more pronounced and there was a slight bitterness and green pepper notes that I didn't notice earlier. In short, decant this wine briefly and have with food. This is not a sipping wine

  • Popped & poured last nite. Didn't but should've decanted for a time. Dark red color, age not particularly apparent in the glass. Nose is a bit musty, but there's plenty of fruit there and perhaps some licorice notes. Blackberries, some earthy notes and some spice on the palate. Smooth and tending toward elegant with good length and a lovely, silky finish. Some tannins lingering, but mostly resolved. Wine showing very nicely. I'll finish the bottle tonite with the wino group and see where it after being open since last nite.

  • Really liked this. Brief (30 min) decant. Dark crimson color. Sweet red currant, black licorice, dusky flowers and leather on the nose. Sophisticated aromatics. Blackberry, red fruits, even some orange peel on the attack. Fresh and supple, with fruit and savory flavors still going strong through the finish. Recommended!

  • Drinking beautifully at the moment. Silky smooth blackberry and red fruits. Slight menthol coolness and some spice on the finish. This was pretty much popped and poured with only 10 minutes or so in the decanter.

  • 2007 Bordeaux has yet to disappoint. The bouquet is slightly singed and candied, showing red currants, pressed flowers, licorice, walnut shell, and a trace of varnish. Bright and tart on entry but settles down to show blackberry flavors, orange/pomegranate acidity, and a smidgen of cinnamon spice on a full bodied frame. Keeps gaining traction and complexity while maintaining freshness and a nice mouthfeel all the way to the finish line. Good length and typicity. Nicely done.

  • We revisited this wine after nearly one year...quite happily as the additional time worked wonders. We stood upright for approximately 4 hours (helped with the sediment sticking to the mid/top of bottle) and then opened for 3+ hours to breathe in the bottle. It was ready. Dark red with smooth, warm dark red fruits and a hint of earthy spice on the nose. Silky and subtle tannins with mellow red fruit. Very pleasant. Elegant finish. We still do not think she will be dancing for much longer so get her on the dance floor for a twirl...soon!

  • Shows a great nose, but yet not ready to drink. Maybe in a sleeping stage. Try again in 2018.

  • We stood upright for approximately 8 hours (helped with the sediment sticking to the mid/top of bottle) and then opened for 2+ hours to breathe in the bottle. It was ready. Dark red with smooth. warm dark fruits with a hint of spice. Slight tannins. Short, but silky, finish. A simple and soft wine. We do not see this wine laying down for more than 2017.

  • Dark ruby, garnet at the edges. Bottle opened an hour and then decanted for half an hour before drinking. Quite an amount of sediment. An initial sip upon decanting was promising. Good blackberry fruit with a smooth, sweet finish with slight coconut notes. Ready for drinking now but plenty left.

  • Aromatic, open nose. Nice red fruit bouquet and less tertiary note than I've encountered in other 2007's.
The palette fleshed out properly after a 30-45min in the decanter showing elegant fruit with good structure.
Overall a well made and balanced wine for the vintage.

  • Waited 2 weeks after delivery, decanted 3 hours.
Dark ruby colour, aromas of dark and red fruits and oak, with a tang of acidity. On tasting, the acidity was surprisingly high, but settled over time to leave a more balanced taste with smooth tannins, and right bank typicity. Not sure if it was suffering a little travel shock or is still a bit young. Will wait a few months before trying another
