A decent wine for everyday drinking. Light to medium bodied, still some red fruit on the palate, but I'm thinking it should have been opened earlier to get the most out of it. Moderate finish, so all-in-all a pleasant wine to drink.

This is the sweet spot for this wine. It's drinking really good. Fairly decadent with loads of vanilla and spice wrapped around dark fruits and figs. Quite oaky, if you aren't into that you may not like it.

Dark fruits and tons of caramel/vanilla on the nose. Lots of oak at play with the vanilla and pepper dominating from the middle through the finish. Starts with some fruit, but the wood quickly takes over.
EDIT: After thinking about this some more, I've lowered my score to 79. The notes should read: The nose starts of with oak, along with hints of oak and perhaps just a touch of oak. On the palate, I get oak up front with oak on the mid-palate and oak on the finish. This wine is like chewing on wood. Really pretty disappointing.

Merlot driven, new world fruit dominated. Smooth mouthfeel, very easy drinking (would please a crowd). Food friendly. Drank with Micah Gordon at 112 eatery in Minneapolis.

Ste. Michelle Wine Estates (MUSE): I don't remember really having a WOW experience with this wine in previous vints, and while this doesn't disappoint, the oak influence is overkill for my palate. Toast, vanilla, and raw oak on nose. Intertwined with mocha, and cedar. Spicy approach with cassis, more toast, lots of vanilla extract. Tannins are there, but in check. Would probably appeal to most.

Very plain and over oaked meritage. If you own, drink now or use for cooking.

Strong sweet, vanilla oak on the nose. Lush, sweet red and dark fruit on the palate. Hedonistic New World wine.
