A wine that wasn't meant to last 9 years but seems to have done okay. The nose is dried fruit roll up and prunish, but the taste is smooth with vanilla and dried red fruits, there's even some mocha, toast and Christmas cake; definitely not at peak, but quite worth drinking. 45 minutes in and this wine loses it aged-charm and starts to become a challenge to drink, everything that was worth drinking and made it interesting has disappeared. So drink now and drink quickly as it ain't getting any better.

Very tasty although the finish was short, and this is a light wine. Very good quality for $10. If I concentrate thiswine somehow, then you'd have something. If your faced with a decision on this though, go ahead and buy some. I am enjoying it.

Quite good, almost surprisingly so (I think that label frightened me as to the quality within). 80/8/6/3/3% Cabernet Sauvignon/Merlot/Cabernet Franc/Petite Syrah/Petite Verdot blend of North and Central Coast grapes, mostly from Monterey. What this lacks for in dimension it makes up for with its round and ripe fruit-forward style. Light cherry nose. Dark black fruits on the palate, along with a bit of sweet spice. Light-to-medium bodied for a cabernet. Hardly any oak. Smooth medium-length finish. I didn’t know the price and guessed around $20, so this is a nice value when priced around $12. I would definitely drink this again, especially if found on sale. Quite nice overall, exceedingly quaffable.

Nice, light bodied wine with a longish finish. Fruit-forward but not jammy, has a bit of oak beneath it but little spice. Blueberry, cherry with some citrus underneath. Some watermelon at first. A nice red for a summer night in the backyard with friends.

Very nice for a low-end Cab! Earthy blackberry and cedar on the nose. Blackberry, spice, and coffee flavors. A little tight at first but opens nicely. Medium body, nice finish. Not much of an inexpensive Cab fan but I thoroughly enjoyed this.

A bit better than the previous year, but not by much. The price has gone up, so it's losing QPR in my book. Still nearly one-note and fruit-forward, with some hints of other layers staring to come through, but also still very drinkable. Loses a lot after a night in the fridge.

Somewhat dark, almost inky in color. Strong nose on the open. Seemed a bit heavy with only subtle fruit flavors with a little spice, also there was little alcohol on the finish. We have had this as our 'table' wine for a few months not a bad option for $10 - $12.

It seemed like the taste was holding back a bit. It was a rather heavy cab, with mild fruit on the nose, but lacked any sort of complexity. Corked and opened again the next day, and it seemed to open up a bit, yet still lacked any identifiable notes.

I got this bottle on clearance for $5.50 and too bad it was the only one the store had - this best $5 bottle I've had and I would buy again at $15 (regular price). This has great bold ripe dark fruit with an incredible finish for an inexpensive wine. I've had $30 cabs that haven't been as good as this one. Gets better as it breathes - decant or pour into glass for an hour before drinking.

As per previous tasting, I aerated this bottle by prepouring a glass full for 1.5 hours before consuming. A really well balanced quaff with substantial length for an inexpensive wine. Not as tannic or heavy bodied as one would expect for a Cab Sav, great raisin and smoke flavours and a fantastic black fruit nose, particularly after aeration. (Came to the conclusion that this wine does not need as much aeration as originally anticipated - acidity seems to come through to strongly with excessive aeration) All in all a really great, well priced wine to enjoy with others around the Barby!

A nice raisin and black fruit nose after aeration (1 hour). On the palate quite nicely balanced albeit pretty low bodied for a cab sav. Although quite quaffable no length to speak of. The remnants that were consumed the next night showed more deth and length. Will try decanting the next bottle before passing final judgement.

Decanted 30 min before first taste. Nose is kinda funky...smells like dirt and soap. Earthy. Tastes young, even after more time in the decanter. Somewhat bitter, but cherry fruit is coming though strong. Finish is rather short, slightly bitter/acidic, with some alcohol heat. May improve with more time, but not age-worthy at all. Good - 84 points.

Agree with the previous user on this one, this Cab improved as it aerated a bit. Much thicker and heavier than i imagined but still managed to have some nice lively fruit mixed with thick, zin-like spice. Nice inexpensive effort from these three winemakers.

Opened tonight and it was a great surprise! Really fruit forward, jammy with a medium body.

not sure why I hold some wines, curiousity I guess, but this one seems to be kicking around in a good way: dried blackberry with cedary and spice.

Plenty of fruit up front, a thin tannic finish. A decent wine for the price.

Nice, but fruity. Smells of leather, it is a very light wine with very little tannin.
