Dark red, high intensity. Nose with integrated aromas of spicies, rubber and dark berries together with leather notes. Fullbodied, balanced acidity, well polished medium tannins, a touch of alcohol sweetness (15%). Velvety soft texture. Flavours of black peppar, meat, iron and concentrated dark fruit. Chewy and powerful in tight dress. Beautiful right now. Will hold for several more years, but don't think it will improve further.

I couldn't agree more with the previous note from robertek. This wine is really coming into its own. A year or so go, tasted all tough tannins, with a bizarre overriding perfume of stewed tomatoes. Now, decidedly delicious. In the first hour a veritable cornucopia of unfolding perfumes and flavours, among them roasted arabica coffee, pencil shavings, burnt toast, sweet licorice, black currant. Fabulous - and real value for money. This was less than a tenner (£s) a bottle when originally bought (about 4 years ago).

Wow this was now fantastic on the nose and quiickly opened up lika a peacock tail - showing smokiness, sweat licorice, pepper, almonds, dark fruit, mocha, salami and much more. On the palate I find this more rounded than last time although stil firm on its tannins. This promises alot more with some more years on the neck - what a pleasant surprise.

Great syrah impression on the nose initially but lost that after some time and turned very fruity and rather one-dimensional. Spicy on the palate and almost a little too alcoholic.... I am not sure what to make of this. The sister Cote Rousse was a more rounded experience....

Again a great wine, this one has a acidic edge (va?).
Lovely balance and length. Reminds me a bit of Tuscany.

Seemed much more evolved than the first one. Still very good drinking.
