  • Wow. What a great wine! This wine is a wonderful combination between the Winderlea vineyard (original Goldschmidt) and the great wine making from Rob Stuart. Wine has crushed rose pedals, currant, cedar, pencil shavings, and a great balance of acidity. Loved this 2007, truly one of the best I've had from this vintage.

  • Popped and poured. Deep, clear garnet color. My first impression of this wine was that, while the concentration was there, the rest of the wine seemed somewhat disjointed. After a couple of hours, the wine pulled itself together. The nose showed classic Dundee Hills sweet cherry and oyster shell. On the palate, the sweet cherry quickly gave way to concentrated layers of black cherry, sweet cherry, white pepper, cinnamon, and allspice. Strong mid-palate, long finish. I like the Winderlea version of this wine a lot, but this is better.

  • A little darker fruit profile than the Autograph, with firmer tannins and more complex flavors; give this some air or more time in the cellar to open up; very promising elegant Pinot!

  • A hint of barnyard on the nose to start, but rounded out to become a lush, earthy Oregon Pinot. Don't let the 2007 fool you - this had a nicely integrated balanced between acids, earth and oak. Medium length, and alcohols maybe just a touch high - both will improve with a couple more years in bottle. But the Burgundy is there, a fine treat.
