This is drinking well! Great acidity with integrated tannin and dark fruit flavour. Good length. Slight smoky taste at the back of the palate after the sweet dark fruit.

This opened up over an hour and a half. It is really pleasant...with cherry and some earth....simple but ready. Drink them over the next year or two.
Opened up more after a day corked in the refrigerator. Sweeter fruit. Day 2 better than day one. Should last a bit longer than I initially believed. Beautiful now. 91

Ripe and fresh black cherry aromas and flavors along with rich, meaty textures and a hint of sauvage. This has really integrated very well as I expected when I tried it last a few years back. An impressive Villages level wine, at a very good place today.

Black cherry aromas with meaty spice. Quite robust structure and fruit concentration on the palate with some impressive power from middle to finish. For a Villages level wine, this really needs a few more years for the acid and tannin to integrate a bit more.

Drinking very well. Looks like a real lightweight in the glass but has a beautiful Pinot aroma and is full flavored. Went very well with a seafood, shrimp, scallop and salmon, casserole. This could improve but I would not hesitate to drink some now.

Perfectly ripe, very fresh beautiful red fruit and dusty earthen character. Very fresh and precise. A not inobvious amount of oak spice that calls to mind Francois Freres. However the oak compliments and adds rather than overruling. Medium bodied on the palate with crunchy red fruit, some spice and hints of vanilla. The poise is excellent, the oak should integrate, and this is very Gevrey and is a great example of how good 06 can be. Should offer good upside for several years.

Astringent, watery, thin, minimal to non-existent fruit or spices. Not a good dring at all.

connoisseur wines spring european portfolio (Vivere, Chicago IL): nose: classic gevrey tones with robust and tart tones of dark red cherries, raspberries, and some brown spices. Nice depth for a village wine with well balanced aromatics
taste: well balanced tones of dark cherries, raspberries, and damp earth tones. Good medium+ acidity with a real nice feel
overall: a real good gevrey villages. Good classic flavors with good acidity to back it up. Very enjoyable and can be drunk on its own and with food
