Nose shows fine deep & dark pinot fruit, some herbs, pine needles, licorice, oak spices & roses. Palate with somewhat dry darker fruit, elegant and structured, with tannins present along with a subtle minerallity. (90 - 91)

This is way young and tight and simply drank far too young despite decanting. Or maybe it's just a bit dumb at this time and shutting down. It has a pure dark berry nose full of spice and a palate full of dark purple fruit and cocoa. A tannic beast. Rest of my bottles will remain in the cellar for a long sleep. Lots of raw material, great potential here.
Drinking by the fireplace, house cool (slowly approaching cellar temp), flashlights on. No power. Hurricane Sandy -- you suck -- but safe and sound.

Very fine, with elegant cool fruit. Lots of dark and blue berries. Hardly any development yet. 91+

Nose: toffee, oak
Taste: liquorice, cherry, wood.
Stored on 100% new oak. Still very young. Fine tannins.
