On PnP, faded fruit, with cola, raspberry and sarsaparilla, slight bittersweet chocolate notes. Light bodied, almost clear. After an hour decant, far more integrated, with slightly tart edge and modest tannins, but greater balance. Lovely but past due. Drink up.

Had another bottle clearly. With cheese souffle. Yumy dinner - good combo but this wine needs to be drunk. It has lost luster. Still good fruit tc but no spunk!

14.1% alcohol. Bright cherry color. Lovely nose of black cherry, baking spice, and floral notes. In the mouth, lively and featuring forward cherry fruit, with bright acidity, elegant balance and structure, and good supporting complexity. Drinking beautifully but will hold for 3-5 years. A-

Color - light translucent ruby, clearing rim showing its age Nose - cherry, cherry cola, floral rose notes, light baking spices, Palate - light and soft, red fruits, cherry, mild tart cherries, nice acidity Very smooth and enjoyable wine, may be at its end, getting pretty thin.

Two hour decant could have been longer. Tannins still quite present. Dark and surprisingly un-aromatic. However, taste was mouth filling. A couple of more years in cellar or hours in decanter and balance would be just right. Very tasty, more depth and complexity than many Cali "bowl of cherries" pinots.

Cherry liqueur and candied red cherry aromas with some baking spice and cherry cola. Similar flavor profile with a slightly sweet character that is well supported by reasonable acidity.

W roast chicken. Beautiful light but firm pinot color. On the nose it was fruit and subtle wood. On palate great red berry, cherry flavors. It was very nice and i'd call it very concentrated. Finish was OK. Very refined elegant bottle.

Elegant pinot with decent nose of raspberries, red candy liquor, and minerals. Palate very refined, sweet cherries and strawberries with tartness at the end. Not up to the level of the Flax '06, which I much prefer.

Open to a reticent, unyielding nose. Required aeration for about 90 minutes + before a great nose and palate emerged. Nose and taste profile was similar to previous reviewers'. I think we've got a few years yet before this is ready - although its outstanding now.

Good concentration of sharp strawberry and black raspberry. Finish is slightly of and not as elegant as others have had. An interesting vineyard (Bucher) and one to watch.

A really good, very New World Pinot. A very rich and deep bowl of cherries. Depth and texture as well as complexity puts this above and beyond good to very good Cali Pinots.

Bright ruby. It opened quick with typical WS strawberries and cherries in a light hued red swirl. Very well made. It doesn't have the depth of other single vineyard designates. 91/92

flowers and must on the nose; medium body with sl sweet red and black cherry, must, earth, mineral; smooth with medium acidity; a bit thin on mid palate but nice complexity; very nice but would not repurchase this vintage at this price point; day 2 more mineral, reminds me why i like WS wines--nice mix of complexity without being overdone.

Both myself and a very good friend had a bottle of this recently...separately. Both commented the next time we saw each other about the killer W/S pinot we'd each had. Great coincidence. I just recall how great this was. My residual excitement makes me want to give it a 92 or 93, but the statute of limitations has passed on numerical scoring for me... so no score, but it was awesome!

The nose had cranberry and earth, with small amounts of vanilla, mocha, and cake spice. The palate was soft and slightly sweet, and had cranberry, vanilla, cake spice, cherry, and a little espresso on the finish.

Delicious! Not too intense color floral nose -- not the barnyard that some williams selyems pinots have. Strawberry and leather palate -- almost creamy in teture. The acidity was a perfect compliment to cioppino

Limpid burgundy color.
Quite exotic nose of baking spices, roses, camphor, dried herbs and sous bois.
Red fruited palate - cranberries, raspberries, red cherries. Quite rich but with spiky acid (that is a little bit seperated from the palate).
Interesting wine but seems more in parts than a whole.
