Pair well with my chicken and spinich manicotti. The subtle black raspberries and spicy notes on the finish mixed well with the ricotta cheese. Dry finish with moderately firm tannins.

Dark with bright ruby rim and a blackberry and spicy nose. The palate is drenched with sour cherries, ripe blackberries, dry tea leaves, and cloves, all balanced well with acidity that just screams for food. Medium bodied; couldn't detect much tannin, and the finish was a little short, but I was surprised by the fresh peaches that just appeared on the backside of the finish...really surprised me.

Traditional grapes with 5% Merlot. Very bright, youthful and primary. Medium intensity black fruits prevail with a minor herbal component. Soft tannic presence on the finish, and generally not together yet, but showing some signs of rounding in the mouth. This has nice weight from ripe fruit for a standard CC and good potential. Not a wow wine - but always good wines from this excellent estate. Worth a look if you like CC. Hold minimum of two years.

A very decent and surprisingly smooth and subtle chianti tasted with good CT buddy neighborbill at the monthly 5$ wine tasting at the Hickory Wine Shoppe last night. A decent QPR at this price point. Both of us expected more raw fruit but actually quite impressed with this. Nose muted and soft with tones of licorice, tar and dark fruit. Good mouth feel, medium bodied, reasonably long aftertaste with primary flavors of earth, dark fruit, blackberry and some cassis. Definitely do recommend this wine.

- It's somewhat balanced. Leathery texture with a medium finish.

MCRI Tasting (Conference room): Nice little Chianti. Solid, every day wine. Red fruits, pretty good balance. 86-87

Nothing special. A lot of wood covering up the cherry flavor. Seems well made, but in a modern oaky style, obsuring the nice fruit in the backgound.

Light bodied, more fruity than I expected, raspberry and cherry with some decent acidity. Okay average Chianti

This was a really impressive Chianti, enough to make me reconsider my general dislike for them.
