Great Wine with a Pig on a Spit (Elmhurst IL): It was late. Popped and poured. Unbelievably sensational in every way. Mostly black fruit with obvious signs of oak, but then a great baking spice combination that just couldn't be resisted. Dense massive finish with good spice as well, but this wine's aromatics are just unbelievable already.

The Greatest Pig Roast Ever?? (Chicagoland): Wow. Dark red/almost black berry fruit, plum, and spice (clove, cinnamon) on the nose. Expansive on the palate with a firm backbone to it. Very long finish with lots of grip. Amazingly good for just being popped and poured. Absolutely delicious. Definitely a strong contender for wine of the night.

Birthday Bash with Pig (Chicagoland): Delicious wine. Very Roumier in style with a pure, clean red/black fruit quality. Even being very young few seams, and a firm structure on the finish. This is great.

Same colour as the Chambolles, but much deeper – to the rim. Fabulous perfumed spicy nose, some salty nuts beneath really rich red fruit. Great mouth entry – piercing acidity, but beautifully poised. Some gameyness developed with air, and lovely rich fruit, but quite a bit of oak as well. Lovely, but the oak too heavy today. I think this will be fantastic in time. 4+

Slightly mature, but not awful. Lacked precise red fruit you'd expect.
