This was one of my first experiences with Priorat. Black currant, blackberry, clay and a touch of toast mark the polished, opulent nose. The palate has a balance of dark fruit, earth and oak. The tannins are operating in the shadows, with almost no noticeable roughness on the finish, but the structure can be felt throughout. Garnacha, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Carignan.

Tour of Spain (Waterford Wines Milwaukee): light barn and hints of musk. very lively acid. nice tannin with bright dried flower on the nose and palate. this is how i remember you.

Spanish Reds (Waterford Wines Milwaukee): animal and such ripe black fruit. moderately jammy. stucture for many more years of enjoyment. this has the finish thus far.

While it is 2002 this is not a bad wine at all. A little bit of bret, a little kiss of sweet cherry, and a nice softness to it (for a Priorat). I got mine for $12 and am considering it a steal.

Used strainer/funnel to aerate, and luckily so, because this bottle was very heavy in sediment. Nice floral aroma, inky color (almost black), dry, medium body.

Full bore brett backed up by a nice sweet cherry liquor-ish fruit. Certainly not bad under $20.

Bret, oak and cherry fruit. Works at $17. But lively palate. Lighter than I thought.
