This was a fantastic wine. Aged very well to give a very smooth wine with an intriguing mix of flavours. Red cherry was most pronounced, but a mixture of mainly red berry and fruit flavours dominated, with some herbal scents and a slight earthy texture I thought. Fantastic value at under ten quid when I bought it - I will be buying several more.

Needed a couple of houirs for the funk to blow off, but a nice wine, especially on the second day. A bit Burgundian for me, but needs drinking up now as it's in danger of falling over soon.

hmmm - merd! Thought it would blow off but, no. There's also some currants and leaves. A little bit of plushness on the palate but not really enjoyable.

Drunk over three nights, held up well. Initially appeared rather one-dimensional, thick and sweet. A couple of hours of decanting and it opened up and settled down to be rather good, though still not quite subtle.

Not too dark; mulberries, fruit cake, a certain fragrance on the nose; fleshy, blueberries, meaty, this has gusto.Good weight & length.Just spoilt by a dank, dull finish

bright ruby colour, almost like deep pinot. Bouquet of sour red fruits, complex and suggestion of dolce and gabana lady's perfume. It is surprisingly rich compare to bright colour, sour and salty but very fresh and long. It feels almost like a good valpolicella. Perfectly ripen fruit and there is no hint of overipeness. It is too young at this stage. I am going to cellar them for at least 2 more years and see how it unfolds. A very elegant wine. I really enjoyed his 2005 shiraz also. I believe these wines are one of the best value wines in Australia therefore I most likely rate them higher in few years.
