Rather classic Bouquet with lots of sottobosco, sour cherries, old leather, dried flowers and mushrooms. Medium to full-bodied with a little heat, but still very elegant, slightly sandy, soft tannin, fresh acidity and a whiff of soy sauce. It lacks a little complexity. Long aftertaste. Nicely matured and refined Nebbiolo. Should probably be drunk within the next 5 years. 91

paired excellently with chili braised short ribs. very approachable right now. 20 second finish. nose: leather, dark fruits, cherries, tobacco, plums, lavender. tannins have smoothed out. could age for several more years but if you have one of these in your cellar, i would suggest drinking it now.

Sight: bricking starting to edge in on this wine evidenced by hints of orange amongst the red tones towards the edges of the glass along with some some semi cloudiness
Nose: The best aspect of the wine. Elegant and seductive this included notes of florals with a strong hint towards roses combined with cherries, spice box notes with a strong leaning towards cloves and and some allspice. Charred earth notes also made an appearance with some tobacco leaf.
Taste: excellent taste with plenty of acids inidicating this wine has at least 5 years left with potential for 10. Good through the attack, mid, and finish.
Overall: This wine would pair excellent with duck liver pate as well as some stronger flavored fish like salmon or even a baccala stew.

Nice wine, but not amazing and certainly at the beginning of its drinking window. Nose combining floral notes with road tar and tobacco, followed by a fairly full, red fruit laden palate, with good length. Good fresh structure, plenty of acidity and tannin and no doubt some further development potential remaining but I can't see it becoming particularly profound with more time.

i was wondering, it is still drinkable or not. Was a very nice wine in good condition. Still the Barbaresco with a little bit of ripeness!
