  • Immediately shows an attractive and powerful Nebbiolo nose of ripe cherries, flowers and spice. Full-bodied and quite rich. Bursting with mouthwatering black cherry and chocolate character along with hints of tar and olive. There's excellent depth here and a nice lively acidity too. The tannins are very well integrated, providing a fine sense of balance. The lip-smacking finish is long and full of ripe fruit and spice. Phenomenal quality for a "normale", this actually drinks very much like their Pi Vigne bottling.

  • Decanted for about 2 hours, the wine was immediately pleasant on the nose and delivered a nice array of distinguished scents that immediately revealed the class of the wine, with tar, black fruits and rose. Idiotypic for the appellation. Palate was somewhat less thrilling in terms of complexity, but was nicely balanced and showing the quality of the fruit and craftmanship of the grower. A nice wine to get introduced to Barolo, and a good QP ratio too.
