This has lots of finesse, vibrancy, bright acidity and subtle minerality, everything I liked in white wine and surprised me so much at this price point. Very good from start to finish, will definate buy this again.

Rock solid, character filled and tasty gruner. Nose gives off oodles of minerals and melons with subtle hints of pepper and fresh cut asparagus adding interest. Palate is light-to-medium bodied and fresh as can be. Great balance of medium intensity fruits and minerals with acidity that keeps it lively. Clean medium intensity finish. Terrific aperitif on a warm island evening.

Clear straw core of moderate intensity out to a colourless rim - youthful. Clean nose of moderate intensity sending aromas of cucumber, cool melon (cantaloupe), citrus and spice. Dry on the palate with moderate+ acidity and moderate alcohol and body. Flavours on the palate of minerals and citrus - it's very refreshing like fresh spring water (out of the ground). There is also some spice but I cannot find white pepper there - it's more like a light nutmeg to me. Creamy and mouthfilling as well. The finish is moderately long with the minerality lingering.
I served the first bottle too cold - this needs only cool room temperature to sing (no pun intended). Excellent QPR!

A very attractive fruit bouquet yields apple, peach and citrus aromas along with a typical Veltliner spiciness and a touch of white pepper. The soft and juicy palate is supported by fine acidity. It sings on the palate

Ripe yellow fruit, flowers on the slightly spicy nose. Fresh on the slightly spritzy palate, with ripe fruit, a touch of honey and good acidity. Not very profound, but a good aperitif or summer quaffer.

Ditto on all my prior comments - this is a nice safe gruner that impresses those who never had a gruner - its a gruner conversion wine.

Enjoyable alongside Chinese takeaway, and on its own. Best drunk at cellar temp rather than fridge temp.

Great wine, went excellent with our Dungeness crabs. Well balanced, medium bodied with good structure all the way through.

Ref previous tasting notes. Did not pair as well with the food this time (classic Swiss cheese fondue)

Good picnic wine. A bit of effervescence, melon and pleasant minerality that goes down easily.

Gruner succeeds when you want to finish the pint. A summer lawn mower wine. The whole point is you don't have to think.
