Standard nose. The concentrated palate features that stalwart Rheingau taste profile, very good acid, and intriguing texture. This is drinking at peak right now.

- Light gold color and has flavours of lemon and pineapple - Subtle effervescence with slight sweetness. It's not a German lolly pop like some Reislings. It's got good balance and some mineral tones and acid to keep it in check.

This showed better than my last bottle. Unscrew and pour. Expressive citrusy nose with some grassy notes. A bit of fizz which blew off with some air. A mix of meyer lemon, pink grapefruit and a bit of tart green apple. High acidity keeps this bright and fresh. Good mouthfeel wine. Nice length and a good example of a Rheingau Riesling.

Unscrewed and poured. Clear, pale gold. Nose shows bursting citrus fruits. Lemon, lime and oranges. A hint of green herbs, but just a hint. This wine is about big, tart citrus fruit and searing acidity. Bright limes and grapefruits attack the palate and draw you right back to the glass as the acidity dries your mouth almost simultaneously as the liquid is swallowed. This is a very good wine to draw people into the world of Riesling who normally only drink dry wine as it brings some sweeteness, but is more crisp and fruity than anything else.
Had this with a fridge clearing veggie flatbread pizza. It picked up some effervessence with the food. Nice, pleasant, not complex. Good buy at $16. I'd serve this at a summer party.

On form as usual. Full of bright pear, apple and tangy citrus fruit flecked with orange blossom and stony accents; very light, refreshing and all too easy to drink.

I never thought I'd get to use this in a tasting note, but this wine is almost exactly like eating lemons, tart green apples and cranberries after a miracle fruit tablet (which makes everything eaten after it taste sweet for about half an hour). For those who haven't tried miracle fruit, this basically means that it's sweet with an underlying acidity that gives it some structure and interest. Enjoyable, though sweeter than I would normally prefer.

Falling out of favor because of its sweetness. The wine hasn't changed from when we first tasted it, but it seems our taste for less sweet wines is preferred.

Pretty closed nose, but eventually got some chalk and pear from it. On the palate it was light, not that sweet, and really defined by its hefty (lemony-apple) acidity, which I tend to like. This qualifies as daily drinker-ish for me, but I've had better (more complex) in this price range.

As good as the 2007. Less sweetness here, but excellent minerality. Light and very fresh. Tart apples, stones with a touch of sour kick on the finish. Medium length. Excellent value. Was at its best on day 2.

Very good again, bright pear, citrus and green apple flavours livened up by some spritz and good acids, and faint mineral and floral notes underneath. Really good value as always.

Nice light pear and citrus, fizzy to start but that went away in the glass. good with spicy food. Not my favorite riesling ever, but nice for a good price.

Another awesome Dragonstone - much lighter than it's been in the last few years, but really refreshing and great to drink with bright pear, green apple and citrus fruit flavours, hints of orange blossom and minerals and plenty of acidity underneath. Really good length with just a little sweetness; look forward to drinking more of this.

Good basic rhine riesling. Classic apple and pears aroma, same on the palate with a little spritz and a bit of honey. Nothing earth shattering, and a little flabby, but better than the vast majority of rieslings from outside of Germany. This remains my go to value wine from Germany.

A bit of fizz upon opening that blew off quickly. This is a serious Riesling here for a reasonable price. Not as ripe as the 2007 version. Crisp with great acidity. Notes of green apple on the palate with a strong grip. Good long finish. Outstanding!

unscrew and pour, nose citrus, apple and melons. Good acidity, not too heavy of a mouthfeel. The acidity keeps the sweetness in line. A nice bottle.
