PnP. Perfect cork. Lovely light ruby color. Spicy red fruited nose. Completely silky on the palate with Vosne spice and a hint of NSG sauvage. Lovely wine and at peak. Superb for the vintage.

took some time to open up, but in a nice place. 2007 should be consumed now, since it does not have the depth or length of other Confuron vintages. Still, crushed stone, decent fruit and a medium finish. Not complaining.

„One Wine - Three Vintages“-Blind Tasting. Flight 3: Jean-Jacques Confuron Nuits St. Georges 1er Cru Les Boudots. We tasted 1999, 2007 and 2009. The 1999 offered the most aromatic nose of the flight, with red and dark fruit, cucumber and spices. On the palate it showed tobacco, cherry, strawberry, spices, and back to tobacco on the finish, with tremendous length. I liked the 1999 a lot. The 2007 presented itself as a lovely young Pinot. It was the lightest in colour and body (medium- to light-bodied), had the nicest and spiciest nose and was lean and spicy on the palate. As opposed to the 1999 and 2007, the 2009 seemed closed, with an awkward, oak-dominated, slightly sulphuric nose and palate and offered the least drinking pleasure. If it comes to drinking windows, the 1999 drank very well and would be my first option for drinking now. The 2007 did not seem to be built for the cellar and I would hence also drink it now, but pair it with food. The 2009 did not show well tonight, I would allow it a few years in the cellar to pull itself together.

Absolutely Wonderful. Improved compared to last time (20/06-2009) Still somewhat sweet, but everything is in balance and there is a lightness and charm to this wine that is truly amazing. Just a hint of acidity in the aftertaste. This worked perfect with Confit de Canard

Light Colour. perfumed nose with sweet cherries. The taste is sweet with earthy aromas and Cherrry stones - the acidity is there but day 2 is is allmost gone. I like this wine and as allways JJ. Confuron makes wines in an elegant style that i am very pleased with. Try again in two years time.

Drinking quite well now. Nice nose with flavors of raspberry, smoked meats and herbs. Well balance, medium bodied with decent if unremarkable finish.
