  • Tasted much younger than it is. Sour cherry, a bit of lavender, Dundee hills funk. Nice finish. It seems like it has life left. This is one of those 2007 wines that did well. Location and winemaker matter.

  • Another winner, bright sour cherry shot through with funky mushroom and forest floor. Ample acid makes this incredibly food-friendly, while moderate complexity makes it enjoyable all on its own. Terrific QPR.

  • A great QPR at $17. Love the acidity, nice tart red fruits, and a bit of earthiness. Decent body for an 07 and an inexpensive one. While not overly complex, far from a simple wine. Nice middle of the week drinker.

  • Damn this is good stuff. Earthier than previous bottles, verging on barnyard, but delicious and mixed with a bright cherry profile. Funkiness toned down some with air, revealing (once again) an awesomely good OR pinot for well under $20.

  • Dark magenta hue in the glass. Some barnyard funk blew off to reveal classic Oregon pinot noir flavors of cherries, raspberries and just a touch of earth. Balanced acidity and a decent finish.

  • Based on our previous experiences with this wine, I decanted it two hours before dinner. This bottle was consistent with the others. Loamy Earth, cherry, raspberry, and Oregon funk. Very silky and bright on the palate, with the same earthy-cherryberry profile as the nose. The acid seemed to intensify over the course of the evening... or perhaps it just stood out more once we finished dinner and drank the last couple of glasses without food. We paid $16 per bottle for our case, but I've seen it as low as $14 on sale. This is a ludicrously great buy for a well-made, food-friendly wine with a true sense of place. We'll probably drink our remaining 9 bottles over the next three years or so.

  • Light bodied but not underpowered. Subtle, vibrant and delicious. Compred to my Tuesday night with Pizza standard (Ayers), this is a great buy. A Willamette Valley Pinot under$20 that isn't watery and sour is rare, this is a gem.

  • QPR Winner. I often say that it's hard to find solid OR Pinot under $20, but this is one to keep an eye out for. Funky earth, and bright red fruit appears on the nose, and deliver when tasted. It's lighter in character. The wine is decently balanced, and is plesant to drink.

  • Really great stuff for the money. Nice fruit, a dash of that Oregon funk on the nose and palate. This is rather light bodied and really a quaffer but does extremely well in that regard. A great sub 20$ Pinot Noir.
