It was very unfair to open this on a whim at the end of dinner after consuming several younger Pinots. I think that it would go very well with a grilled salmon.

Another good elegant Pinot Noir from Doug & Andrew Nalle. This wine has aged gracefully and is still hanging in there without any negative age related effects. This expression of Hopkins Ranch fruit is soft with integrated red berry flavors and a medium finish.

Nose: Green on the nose and almost a little bit of tea as well. I almost get a little bit of kumquat, bitter orange. Palate: Very sour and a little tartness on the transition. Less complex than the first bottle

Nose: Green, with more funk then I tend to get from cali. Some secondary cherry. Taste: Tartness up front transitioning to cherry. Something spicy (clove? tobacco?) on the back as well. A little vegetal. Long finish. Not very tannic, very light in body. Complex, but not outright delicious.

Light and elegant; gained weight over an hour; red fruits; should age well for another 5 years.

super-classic russian river pinot. Tons of lovely fruit, drinking great. Was lovely with a stuffed game hen.
