Nose of black cherry, plum, spring flowers, touch of barnyard and cigar box, same on the palate, big body, very tasty, mouth filling fruit, much better and bigger than the 1996 I enjoyed last night, rich fruit, mouth filling fruit, elegant, and a long, long, flavorful finish. Uploaded 2 photos of bottle showing the work by Paul Klee.

This is bright and flashy. The bouquet was high pitched, medicinal, and varnishy, with earthy elements of eucalyptus, new leather, wet earth, and pencil shavings melding beautifully with a dark fruit core. In the mouth this is sharply focused and delineated, and energized by citrus acidity, a streak of minerality, and beautiful bottle aged notes of currants, cherries, and black raspberries that shift to savory traces of sous bois and capsaicin on the long, spicy finish. Piquant and classy.

Popped & poured at restaurant. Reserved nose with dark fruit, vanilla, herbs & earth. Palate was soft & smooth with drying finish that was a little hot. Black fruit (currant, plum & dark cherry) with vanilla, oak & minerals integrated nicely. Medium to full bodied wine with nice features, but not overly complex. Nicely made wine.

Decanted. This was an excellent example of a nice Napa Cab. Not too much on the nose, but opened up in the mouth with hints of chocolate, cherry, anise and oak. Finished with tobacco and pepper. Long finish with fine-grained tannins. Can still age for a few more years. Glad I have another bottle.

The nose of this wine started out with a brett/barnyard aroma. After about an hour, the nose revealed plum notes as well. The palate of this wine had currant and plum flavors with some earth. This was a medium to full bodied wine with a very soft mouthfeel, good balance, and a long finish. This was drinking very well now. WOTN.

I love this wine. Beautiful balance and such a nice departure from typical napa cabs. The midpalate was all black ripe fruit with cola and dark cherry overtones. The finish lasts 30+ seconds and the pairing with a veal chop was off the hook.

Didn't take detailed notes. Solid cab but not that memorable. Kind of fell apart after 5+ hours of being open. Drink now.
