Very flat. Well past its prime...my fault. But a little citrus, and topical fruit and grapefruit. If you still have this pop it now and it might be OK.

So I bought this 375 only because of the liquid refraction effect on the label. I'm 99 points on that. Oh right, the wine ... Pale in colour. Nice citricy fruit without grassy notes, quite crisp and not flabby. Bit simple, with a slightly bland and short finish but a nice drink.

Notes of melon, lemon and grapefruit. Easygoing and fresh. By this time of the summer this blends in with a bunch of other wines but it does the style well.

60's grape growers in rutherford, between Caymus, BV, and Groth (their closest neighbor). 55 acres planted on 70. 31st vintage. buy from 10 family growers. barrel on the palate gives some spice on the finish. "no oak" here means that it's rounded out in 30-40yr old oak casks. ripe sb fruit. mango vibrancy. candied yellow fruit. subtle juicy fruit on the nose. ripe and vibrant. thoughts of white pepper in the nose and barrel shows so lightly on the palate.

Wines of California (Farpointe Cellar): The nose had melon and fig, a little stone, and some honey notes. The palate was viscous, with lots of melon and citrus, a little wax, and a good stone finish.

Better than I remember it. But the Tablas is screwing it up just a bit. A bit sweaty and peachy, more heavy and texture. This is no BS sauvignon blanc.

Pale straw color. Slightly floral nose with gooseberry, melon, citrus and a hint of anise. The light oak treatment takes away slightly from the crispness and gives this wine a sense of not having enough acid, although technically I don't think that's the case. Good for the price, though, as a summer quaffer. May not pair as well with food as other SBs.

Bright color. Subtle grass & sweet pea on the nose. Great sweet pea entry with lemon cream kicking in toward the finish. Very polished & balanced. Nice.

Discovering Wine: Pale yellow with a light body. Nose of rich mango and melon with a hint of star fruit. The taste is mango and lime with a slightly effervescent finish that is short and tart lime.

rich, mineral nose. maloactic? a little oak? softer, sweeter, more tropical flavors. NOT Sancerre! that's okay though. For fans of Pinot Gris or mildly sweet Riesling. Decent. Not boring but, not complex.

nose shows grass, pineapple and a bit of jalapeno pepper. medium bodied with medium acid and ripe tropical fruit flavors. its got just a bit of grassiness, which i like, especially for a napa sauv blanc.

The Wine Merchant: Napa (Findlay, OH): Delivers for a basic SB, with the touchstone flavors. There's a slight artificial flavor here, and it's a little subtle. I'm not a big fan of the rounder Napa style, but this is pleasant enough.

Pale green/gold in color. Not much came through on the nose. Medium body, mouth filling but less grassygrapefru9it than I would expect from, say, a NZ SB. Crisp and nice acidity to pair well with foods. Pleasant wine, but unremarkable.

I'm not as onboard with this sauv-blanc as the previous guy, I found this quite boring and with a good amount of heat on the finish. Good enough but didn't even stand up to the prawns it was enjoyed with.

Popped and poured, enjoyed with a dinner of linguini with homemade clam sauce, sauteed mushrooms and baby asparagus. Sharp, crisp, fresh and clean. Restrained, citrusy, with wonderful minerality. Very nice expression of sauvignon blanc.
