Tasting of four pinot noirs. Lovely dark cherry fruit on the nose with medicinal hints, more of the same on the palate, very lovely pinot taste, slightly simple and old, short finish. time to drink up. My last place wine.

Decent Pinot Noir from California. For $20 its not a great deal, but also not a big disapointment. It is a California Pinot so don't go into it expecting Burgundy and you will be much better off

We really liked this Pinot. It was much different than other Pinot's we have tried, more closely reminiscent to a Cabernet sauvignon. Somewhat tawny in color, it had complex aromas and a full, bold flavor that lingered nicely. Served with prime rib it was a nice combination.

See my comments on La Crema 2008. This is worse. Colour - Burgundy red. Good gradation. Nose - Meat, cherry. Palette - medium body, some tannin, black cherry (unusual for a pinot), much more "rustic" than a typical burgundy. I will vastly prefer Cote de Nuits or Cote de Beune, or even New Zealand pinots, if this is typical of California pinot. This is NOT what a pinot should be.

Nose- meaty, cherry. Medium bodied wine, relatively bold for a Pinot.
