Nez noix, bois, fruit rouge.

Wow this wine just keeps getting better and better. Dank wish pot roast. Elegant and concentrated dark fruit. Earth. Licorice. This is a true testament to the benefit of cellaring fine wines. Drink or hold. Happy to have four remaining from a case.
Dark crimson in color. 14.8% ABV. Stunning nose of blue and black fruits, licorice, leather and graphite. Medium to full bodied with perfect acidity. Plush and concentrated. Well balanced. Blueberry, blackberry liqueur, creme de cassis and earth on the palate. Exceptional length on the finish with incredibly silky tannins. Awesome Cabernet Sauvignon that is aging brilliantly. With mountain fruit and a great vintage I suspect this will age well for years to come. Best over the next 4-6 years.

Mature Cab went well with Osso Bucco. Plenty of dark fruits, smoke and earthiness and a tannic backbone that should carry this wine through many more years. Drink or hold.

Dark garnet hue. Big nose, deep dark fruit. Terrific complexity, dark fruit, long finish, nicely balanced, easy to drink with or without food. I agree with previous comments- if you've got this cab-- drink it. It is very good at this time. Not sure how much better its going to get.

Delicious but so similar to my last note 6 years ago. Red and blue fruits with beautiful balance and acid. Mouthfeel was velvety. Enjoyed every sip or gulp.
My last bottle. Thankfully I've still got some Trues.

A fantastic example of cab in the modern style just entering its drinking window. Focused, intense, deep and long. Drink now or hold over the next 6-8 years.

I liked, but my wife ended up with one of those red wine migraines. A caveat- she has gotten these once a month or so, and with two exceptions have always been calif cabs. Never had one while drinking and eating in Europe, despite that we tend to drink a fair amount while there what with lengthy lunches and dinners. Can't ask her to do a controlled experiment by trying the same wine a few days later, but over the decades, 95% of headaches follow Cali cabs. Wonder what other CT drinkers notice. So maybe it's the pumping over, I'm not sure. Almost never happens with a cab with age.

Definitely needs to be decanted for 2-3 hours. I decanted for 1.5 hours and then drank over the next 3 hours. At first still very tight with a good nose but not a lot of fruit on the mid-palate or finish. HOwever, after being open for at least 3 hours the wine really came around. Lots of fruit and very long finish. This wine probably has at least another 5-7 yrs drinking window.

This is a big wine that is drinking well now but will continue to evolve for some time. The color is inky garnet. I would give this wine a short decant. It needed about an hour to hit stride. This beauty checks all the boxes: big nose, balance, complexity, long finish. Dark berry fruits, sweet tannin and earthy notes on the palate. Really delicious CA Cab that is at the beginning of what should be a long life. If you have a lot of these I would start drinking now but if you only have a few I would wait a few years.

Much more old world flavors than I would have thought. Drinking well but would benefit from another year of cellaring. My wife would rate it a point or two higher.

Bright sour cherry with just a touch of cedar and smoke. Still rather young and primary. Good but should get better and more complex. Hold on to it for 3+ years.

Nez hyper fragrant sur le cassis, les mures et les épices. En bouche, hyper concentré et corsé mais d'un bel équilibre...charmeur même. Tannins charnus et finale très longue. Un vin joufflu et large d'épaules en ce moment, très prometteur!

Still young, decanted for 2 hours. This wine will deveolp over time and be a great wine. Thomas Brown Rivers is a widely know wine maker in Howell Mountain. He makes big, bold CABS! Drink one and hold the rest.

As expected this is disjointed right now. Acid leads with tannin close behind. There is plenty of fruit but it will take some bottle age to get everything to blend together.

Has a bit of an oxidative thing showing on the nose. Has some pleasing mountain fruit characteristics; will feel familiar to fans of Rivers-Marie cab. Very good cab - a bit on the primary side still; verging toward purple fruits, with hints of floral. Maybe a shade simple. Not sure if I like this as much as the R-M, but this is definitely in the same neighborhood.

Complete fruitbomb that is obvious as soon as you pop the cork; delicious with over the top dark fruit but with less body and structure than I expected.
